fashionablylate4: DESALU’S STYLE The celebrity stylist and image consultant Sam Desalu stepped foot in the fashion industry after moving to New York City back in 2009. Although he was raised in Chicago’s south suburban area, Desalu’s determination and passion for fashion enabled him to go beyond what Chicago had to offer to the world of fashion. “One big difference between the fashion scene in Chicago versus New York City is that more people in Chicago do it as a hobby but in New York City people are more serious and passionate about it,” he said.  Desalu’s Nigerian background and urban city experiences allowed him to become a well-rounded stylist due to his knowledge on cultural pieces and modern day pieces as well.  He has styled many celebrities such as BET’s 106 and Park Terrence J, Tyrese, Ginuwine, Day 26, Ryan Leslie, and Kate Shindle just to name a few. Desalu has done work for various magazines such as Truxury Magazine, Seven Tribes Magazine, Obvious Magazine and Honey Magazine. His resume also includes some styling that he has done for a fashion film with Selita Ebanks. Sam Desalu aspired to inspire through his company ForeFront Image Consulting. Since he started out assisting celebrity stylists with photo shoots and shows, he reached back to a couple of aspiring stylists who he took under his mentorship. Desalu has been putting more focus into the progression of his company and building his brand. With his outstanding resume and love for his work, there should be no second guessing about Sam Desalu.
